British Man's Body Found On Spanish Beach

A British man believed to have been kidnapped by men posing as police officers in Spain has been found dead.

Merseyside Police say the body of Francis Brennan, 25, has been found on a beach in Alicante, where he was last seen in January.

He left the UK ahead of a sentencing date last October for an assault he committed in the Thames Valley area in 2012.

Merseyside police said Brennan's family have been informed and that authorities in Spain are investigating.
