A mother who has refused to let her seven-year-old son have radiotherapy treatment following surgery for a brain tumour has returned to the High Court.
Sally Roberts, 37, says she fears that radiotherapy will cause her son, Neon, long-term harm.
Doctors have said Neon could die within months if he does not receive the treatment.
The boy's father Ben, who is separated from Ms Roberts, agreed to the radiotherapy but was said to be "apprehensive".
On Tuesday, a High Court judge ruled the child could have further surgery to remove a "residual tumour" against Ms Roberts' wishes.
Ms Roberts, who comes from New Zealand but lives in Brighton, wanted the operation delayed until more doctors had been consulted.
But specialists treating Neon said follow-up surgery needed to be carried out urgently and Mr Justice Bodey said the operation should go ahead.
Neon had the seven-hour procedure on Wednesday and the court was told it had gone "well".
The judge is today expected to hear more argument about the pros and cons of radiotherapy at a hearing in London.
Ms Roberts is seeking an adjournment until the new year.
